A 17 year old boy came with constipation, vomiting and acute pain in the abdomen since eight hours.
Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis shows reversal of the relationship between the superior mesenteric artery and the superior mesenteric vein with the superior mesenteric vein being on the right of the artery. There is twisting of the mesentery. The duodeno-jejunal flexure is towards the right side. Colonic loops are predominantly on the left and small bowel loops are predominantly on the right.
