MRI of the brain shows complete absence of the corpus callosum. There is dilatation of the trigones of the lateral ventricles, consistent with colpocephaly. The frontal horns of the lateral ventricles are elongated and narrowed (viking helmet sign). The bodies of the lateral ventricles are parallel and widely separated, giving a racing car appearance. The third ventricle is prominent and communicates directly with the interhemispheric fissure. The sulci of the i Viking helmet signed nterhemispheric fissure extend up to the third ventricle.
