A 23 year old woman, known to have Takayasu arteritis with persistent raised blood pressure since three years came with complaints of vomiting, dizziness and blurring of vision.

Digital subtraction angiography shows ostial stenosis of both renal arteries. Circumferential wall thickening seen in infrarenal abdominal aorta consistent with Takayasu arteritis. Thee is ostial stenosis (Left>Right) of both the renal arteries.

Takayasu's arteritis is named after Dr. Mikito Takayasu (1860–1938), a Japanese ophthalmologist who first described the characteristic retinal arteriovenous changes (wreathlike appearance) of the disease in 1905/1908
