A 55-year-old man with a history of a large right MCA territory infarct had undergone decompression craniectomy
Non-contrast enhanced CT scan of the brain shows a large defect over the right fronto-temporo-parietal region with concavity of the skin flap in the right frontal region. There is encephalomalacia with surrounding gliosis in the right fronto-temporo-parietal region, right corona radiata, right lentiform nucleus.
