Contrast esophagogram shows the esophagus opacified up to D5, where a fistulous tract arises into the mediastinum. The tract extends inferiorly up to the L1 as a blind-ending tract about 1 cm wide. Beyond the of the origin of the fistula the esophagus is narrowed due to a stricture and continues to the stomach.
