An eight year old girl presented with neck pain following alleged history of fall four months ago
Radiographs of the cervical spine in neutral, flexion and extension show fusion of posterior elements of C2 and C3 vertebrae. Non contrast CT of the cervical spine shows a well-corticated ossicle above the odontoid process. MRI of the cervical spine confirms os odontoideum with atlantoaxial instability. There is showing spinal canal narrowing and focal intramedullary signal changes with areas of dystrophic calcification in the cervical cord.
