An 18 year old boy came with backache since one year, aggravated since two months
The frontal radiograph of the dorsolumbar spine shows left concave scoliosis centered around D 10 . The posterior spinal line at this level is displaced laterally. A circular sclerotic lesion with central radiolucency measuring approximately 2 × 2 cm is seen in the left pedicleof the D10 vertebra. It has a narrow zone of transition.
The CT scan of the dorsal spine shows a focal lucent nidus within surrounding reactive sclerotic bone. The MRI shows a small well-circumscribed central nidus demonstrating T2 hyperintense and T1 low-to-intermediate signal . There is significant surrounding bone marrow edema .
