A 20 year old man came with a swelling in the left jaw since four months
Frontal and lateral radiographs of the skull show a well-defined, expansile, lytic lesion measuring 4 × 4 cm involving the ramus of the left mandible. The lesion shows a narrow zone of transition without evidence of matrix mineralization. There is soft tissue swelling with a few calcific foci over the lesion.
The CT scan of the mandible shows an expansile, osteolytic lesion centered in the ramus and posterior body of the left half of the mandible. The lesion shows a large extraosseous soft tissue component with multiple small cystic spaces and foci of calcificat ions. The lesion is compresses the medial pterygoid muscle and the parotid gland. The fat planes are maintained.
