MRI of the brain shows a well-defined T2 hyperintense, T1 hypointense, intra axial lesion without diffusion restriction in the left frontal cortex measuring approximately 3.2x2.8x3.2cm. The lesion shows multiple cystic areas of degeneration with suppression on FLAIR. Multiple foci of susceptibility on SWI are noted in the lesion. On MR spectroscopy there is an increased choline peak and decreased NAA peak at 135TE. The lesion shows no post-contrast enhancement.
