An 18 month old baby was brought with abdominal distension since seven days
Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis shows a large, well- defined . heterogeneously enhancing exophytic lesion with few cystic areas and internal vascularity arising from the lower pole of left kidney (claw sign), measuring 8.7x7.5 x 10 cm. There are no areas of fat/ calcifications in the lesion. The lesion does not cross the midline. A lesion of a similar morphology measuring about 2 cm. in diameter is seen in the lower pole of the right kidney.

Wilms tumor is named after Dr. Max Wilms (1867–1918), a German surgeon and professor who provided a comprehensive, detailed description of this kidney cancer in 1899
