A 27-year-old woman came with diplopia and right sided headache since one month
MRI of the brain was performed. T2 weighted axial sections , SWI and post-contrast FLAIR sequences show a well-defined, lobulated, predominantly cystic T2 hyperintense lesion in the right parieto-occipital region. It is located in the deep white matter. There are multiple areas of blooming in the lesion. There are few areas of heterogeneously enhancing solid components. The lesion causes mass effect on the posterior body and the splenium of the corpus callosum and posterior horns of the right lateral ventricle. There is a midline shift towards the left along with extensive perilesional edema.
