Normal Left side
On ultrasonography of the left wrist, the tendons of the first extensor compartment - the abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis- are bulky and thickened for an approximate length of 2.5 cm at the wrist joint. Anechoic free fluid is seen around the affected segment.
