A 48-year-old man came with a mildly painful swelling over the right elbow since six months. There was history of minor trauma to the right elbow one year ago.
The photograph of the lesion shows the classical enlarged swelling over the olecranon. Ultrasonography of the swelling shows a well-defined, oval, cystic lesion in the subcutaneous space- indicating fluid collection in the olecranon bursa. There is echogenic content in the lesion showing increased vascularity- suggestive of synovial proliferation and hyperemia.
