MRI of the left hand shows thickening of the median nerve (thickness - 7.6mm) extending from 1.5cm distal the wrist joint for a length of about 10 cm till the level of mid-shaft of the metacarpals. Macroscopic fat is interspersed among the nerve fasciculi.
