A 29 year old man came with pain and swelling over the left wrist with a weakened grip of the hand. There was history of trivial trauma six months ago due to fall on the outstretched hand.
Radiographs of the left wrist show sclerosis and partial collapse of the lunate. The ulna is shorter than the radius indicating negative ulnar variance. The scaphoid is rotated ventrally. MRI of the left wrist shows a collapsed lunate with low signal intensity on T1 weighted images and variable intensity on T2 weighted images.
