This 40 year old woman has been having difficulty in swallowing, vomiting and regurgitation of food since four years. She has a swelling over the neck after meals since two months. There was history of consumption of a corrosive liquid four years ago.
Esophagogram shows a bilobed dilatation of the esophagus from the upper esophageal sphincter to D2 vertebral level. There is a smooth, high grade narrowing in the supra aortic segment. The esophagus beyond the narrowing is normal. Non-contrast enhanced CT scan of the chest with oral contrast confirms the above findings.
