A 60 year old man came with abdominal pain, distension and breathlessness since three months.
The frontal radiograph of the chest shows a well-defined, round soft tissue opacity in the right lower zone. A similar soft tissue opacity is seen overlying the liver shadow on the frontal radiograph of the abdomen. Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen and chest shows multiple well defined cystic, multi-loculated lesions and multiple daughter cysts in segments five, six and seven of the liver. These lesions extend superiorly into the pleural cavity through a rent in the diaphragm. Another multiloculated lesion with daughter cysts is seen in the right pleural cavity.
