A 33-year-old man came with blood in sputum with drop in hemoglobin since 20 days
CT pulmonary angiography shows extensive destruvite changes with multiple cavities in the left lower lobe. There is a saccular vascular outpouching , about 2 cm in diameter, arising from the lateral basal subsegmental branch of the left pulmonary artery.
Rasmussen's aneurysm is named after Danish physician Fritz Valdemar Rasmussen. In 1868, he first described this rare complication of pulmonary tuberculosis.
