CT scan of the neck shows block vertebrae at C2 and C3 with fusion of the anterior and posterior elements.their posterior elements. The dens is dysplastic with a well corticated ossicle superior to it and posterior to the anterior arch of the atlas - the os odontoideum. The anterior and posterior arches of the atlas are unfused. There is a slight increase in the atlanto-axial interval. Block vertebrae are also seen at C4, C5 and C6.
