Radiographs from a skeletal survey show generalised increase in the bone density with thick cortices and narrow medullary spaces. Frontal radiographs of the left hand and right foot show acroosteolysis. Frontal and lateral radiographs of the skull show wide open sutures with Wormian bones. The angle of the mandible is obtuse. The lateral radiograph of the left tibia shows a unicortical fracture. The frontal chest radiograph shows an old non-united fracture of the right clavicle.
Wormian bones are named for Ole Worm, professor of anatomy at Copenhagen, 1588–1654. He taught Latin, Greek, physics and medicine. His description of the extra-sutural bones contributed to the science of embryology.
