A 63 year old man came with the complaints of bleeding per rectum and loose motions since two months. A mass was felt on per rectal examination. Select CT scan images are shown
There is an irregular, circumferential enhancing wall thickening in the lower and mid-rectum for a length of approximately 8-9 cm with extraserosal extension into the mesorectal fat. There are heterogeneously enhancing lymph nodes at the obturator and external iliac levels bilaterally and in the the mesorectum.
