On the frontal chest radiograph, there is a long, about 2 cm wide, posterior mediastinal shadow on the right - extending superiorly till the clavicle with air fluid level. The right heart border is seen separately from the shadow. The fundic bubble is not seen. The barium esophagogram shows a smooth, short segment , high-grade narrowing at the gastroesophageal junction, There is no mass effect. The proximal esophagus is dilated. Small amounts of contrast are seen in the stomach.
