CT scan of the abdomen shows markedly enlarged kidneys and diffuse parenchymal heterogeneity with loss of normal corticomedullary differentiation. The renal architecture is replaced by multiple tiny cystic dilatations oriented radially along the medulla, consistent with dilated collecting ducts.
