A 72 year old woman came with pain in the abdomen since two weeks
Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen shows an ill-defined, heterogeneously enhancing lesion in the uncinate process of the pancreas measuring 3x2.9x3.cm with fat stranding around the lesion. The lesion extends along the root of the mesentery and around the aorta and inferior vena cava. There are multiple subcentimeter sized soft tissue deposits and lymph nodes in the perilesional area and in the para aortic and aortocaval region. There is wall thickening with loss of fat planes with the D2/D3-portioms of the duodenum. The lesion and its surrounding fat stranding completely encases the SMA, IMA, SMV, Abdominal aorta and the inferior vena cava.
