A 41-year-old man came with pain and swelling in the right arm following a ‘popping’ sound upon lifting a heavy object three days ago.
Local ultrasonography shows a well-defined, hypoechoic area in the substance of the right biceps brachialis muscle, measuring approximately 2.7 x 1 x 0.9 cm. This area shows continuity with the proximal biceps tendon but is discontinuous with the distal tendon beyond the middle one third of the right arm. It shows normal vascularity; there no echogenic striations are seen.
