The frontal radiograph of the pelvis and hip joints shows cortical thickening and solid periosteal reaction along the neck and the medial aspect of the proximal shaft of the left femur. A small ovoid radiolucency is seen in the cephalad portion of this area of sclerosis. On CT scan, there is a well-defined,oval osteolytic area surrounded by a larger area of bone sclerosis, in the cortex of the medial aspect of neck of left femur.
