A 12 year old boy was brought by his parents with increased urinary frequency since two months. There was history of recurrent urinary tract infections and intermittent, self resolving episodes of hematuria since six months. The patient had received a nine month course of anti tuberculous treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis four years ago.
Thimble
The micturating cystourethrogram shows a tubular bladder with small capacity. The lumen of the bladder continues into the posterior urethra with no constriction at the sphincter. There is grade 4 vesicoureteral reflux on the left.
