On ultrasound examination, there is a hernial sac with bowel loops in the scrotum. There is a well defined lesion with central calcification and surrounding hypoechoic lamellated appearance in the hernial sac next to the bowel loops. On CT, there is a well defined lesion with soft tissue attenuation with central calcification in the hernial sac.
The gross specimen removed at surgery shows a well-defined, round, smooth, white lesion measuring approximately 3.0 x 2.5 cm that was within the hernial sac.
