A 50 year old man came with complaint of breathlessness since four days
There is a soft tissue opacity in the right paracardiac - supradiaphragmatic region that merges with the adjacent heart shadow. On the lateral view, it occupies the anterior costophrenic recess. The inferior margin of the opacity is ill-defined. There are no areas of cavitation or calcification.
A Morgagni hernia is named after Giovanni Battista Morgagni, an Italian anatomist who first described this type of diaphragmatic hernia in 1761. He is considered the founder of modern pathological anatomy.
