There is relatively symmetrical abnormal signal involvement of both the caudate, lentiform nuclei, thalami, and dentate nuclei, which shows high signal on T1, low signal on T2 with signal drop-out on GRE (basal ganglia calcification). There is no restricted diffusion on DWI/ADC
