A 63 year old man, a chronic smoker, presented with progressively worsening dyspnea on exertion and intermittent postprandial epigastric pain for the past two years.
The sonogram of the abdomen shows dilatation of the abdominal aorta upto a diameter of 5 cm. There is a 2.5 cm thick thrombus immediately proximal to the origin of SMA, at the level of the origin of the celiac trunk.
