The plain CT scan of the brain shows a large, lobulated, intra axial cystic lesion in the right frontal lobe. There are few septations and multiple punctate calcified mural nodules in the cyst. There is no perilesional edema. There is mass effect with compression of the lateral ventricle and midline shift to the left. The MRI of the brain confirms the findings on the CT scan. The lesion is T2 hyperintense, T1 hypointense with no diffusion restriction or post contrast enhancement.
